Following Bobby & Nicole’s Wedding we headed up the coast to Penobscot Bay for a week of sailing.  Here are photos taken by Erika, Greg and us from our adventure.

On the way back in to Rockland on Friday afternoon to pick up Greg and Erika we found ourselves surrounded by schooners, also heading in to the port…

IMG_0838IMG_1204 IMG_1199 IMG_0839Saturday was a really fine day of sailing…IMG_20160716_151018946IMG_20160716_151304936IMG_20160716_130745358IMG_20160716_115300857IMG_20160716_150939673IMG_20160716_164737220When we found a mooring at Pulpit Harbor (44° 9.264’N, 68° 53.016’W) Greg decided to take a swim in the 58° water.  That didn’t last long.IMG_20160716_180121688IMG_20160716_180159397

At our mooring we had dinner on deck: wonderful company, some good steak and maybe a bit too much wine as we watched the sun set…

And soon it was time to return Greg and Erika to their car, via the dinghy of course…IMG_20160717_093640292

On Monday morning it was foggy and threatening rain so we brought the boat in earlier than the noon deadline and after showers we were on the road by 10:00.  We stopped off in Salem for lunch and a walk around the old town and of course we met a witch:
