On Monday, June 15, we had our tour driver drop us at Porto di Marina di Pisa, which is the port area serving Pisa. This was where we boarded the Hanse Sailor for our several weeks of cruising.

Tuesday morning we headed south along the coast to St. Vincenzo.
June 17 we went to the island of Elba where
we spent two nights anchored at different bays.
The first was in a bay on the east side of the island
where we went ashore to Porto Azzurro. With encouragement from the English,
Napoleon retired here briefly but he
clearly had a less favorable perspective
on retirement than we have.
The next night we were around the
corner at a spot with a nice beach.
On June 19 we moved south-east to a
bay and beach on the west side of
Isola del Giglio.
Love the Napoleon comment! Looks fantastic!
